  • Po was my husband and the best sort of man. I haven't felt like a whole person since Saturday but I know God has His arms wrapped tightly around me.
Everyone who knows Po, knows he loved to have fun. His last Sunday (Superbowl Sunday) at church he was so excited for the Seahawks. Many of you remember his booming voice yelling out, "GO HAWKS!" at various times throughout the morning. Well, services were over and many people were already heading out and I was anxious to get some errands finsihed before we headed over to Gordon & Jen's house to watch the game. But Po was out playing football with many of the youth group students. I waited for a while and finally went to stand on the edge of the field so he would know I was ready to go. Well, all he did was turn to me and jump up and down in the middle of the field and shout out in his big happy voice, "I'm having fun Baby, I'm having fun!" All the while continuing to jump up and down and throw passes. I, of course, didn't have the heart to ask him to leave and told him to just continue having fun and we could leave when he was ready.
Well, when I close my eye's I can see him jumping up and down with heaven shinning behind him and he's shouting down at me, "I'm having fun Baby, I'm having fun!" And I don't have the heart to ask him to come back because I know that I just have a few errands left to run here and then I'll go be with him at our Home.
    I love you Babe.

your memory of po on the football field after service superbowl sunday was my last memory of po....running around in his bright orange down vest, jumping up and down, happily playing football just like my tyler...just like a kid.   thanks for sharing that happy moment of po's life with us.  may God's arms continue to wrap around us all ever so tightly.   love, jess (chen)

    Jessica,
You don't know me, and I don't know you; but I knew Po. I met him through CEF and he touched my life in a dramatic way. I wanted you to know how very very sorry I am. What you wrote here blew me away. You are a powerful witness and I am amazed by you. Po was an incredible person and his passion for the Lord rubbed off on everyone he met. I will continue to pray for you. Remember Christ never gives us more than we can bear. You are amazing... God Bless you.

    Jess,

I am so sorry for your lost, you are continually in my prayers.  But it is so good to hear that you know God has you in His arms, you are the epitomy of a godly woman.  Even in your lost, you are gloriying God.

Po made the summer of 2005 a unforgetable summer, I will always remember him.

I didnt know Po very well. Actually i only saw him once at a CEF regional conference. But that one time he made a unbelievable impression on me. His joy for serving God litterally oozed out of him. I recently went to the Explorer's weekend. I know he had a major part of the construction of that. That weekend changed my life. God called me to be a full time missionary with CEF. It is thanks to Po for his heart for not only children, but to equip people like me to do the same. This story was very moving, and I am deeply sorry for you. You are in my prayers. ~Josh Carroll
